The map draws the full river. This route covers a section of it; the description says which.
The Rivière aux Pommes offers an excellent introduction to Quebec whitewater with its 15 rapids ranging from R1 to R3 across beginner to intermediate terrain. This gentle gradient river (0.2-0.6% slope) flows through the Capitale-Nationale region providing scenic forest paddling with convenient camping at 2 designated sites. The variety of rapid classes makes it perfect for skill progression. Best accessed from late May through September when water levels are optimal for the full range of rapids.
The document describes 15. The map shows 0, because it only places rapids a national survey publishes a coordinate for. The two counts measure different things.

This table publishes no position for any rapid. Where a surveyor's note mentions a kilometre, those are their words quoted as written, and the figure was read off a scanned map: use it to follow their description, not to navigate. Most of these surveys were written in French.
