Cascapédia River

About

The Cascapédia River provides an excellent introduction to Quebec wilderness canoeing, flowing 50 kilometers from Lac Huard through the Chic-Choc Mountains to Cascapédia Bay. This scenic river offers enjoyable Class I-II whitewater that's less intimidating than the Bonaventure, making it perfect for paddlers with some experience seeking a wilderness adventure without extreme technical demands. The river features a strong continuous current, beautiful mountain vistas, and the unique experience of paddling from source to sea into the brackish waters of Baie des Chaleurs. The wilderness setting offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.
